FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
1. There are other sources for cookies and cookie dough -- from run-of-the-mill to gourmet. Why should I order from Heritage Hill Cookies?
Not all cookies/cookie dough are equal, and few truly stand out. With few exceptions, even the most upscale cookie manufacturers rarely mention their ingredients or offer an organic line. The reason is that they don't want you to focus on what they’re putting in their cookies -- which usually include harmful trans-fats, preservatives, chemical flavor enhancers, artificial ingredients and dairy products and eggs from penned up (often entirely indoors) animals fed unnatural diets along with hormones and antibiotics.
Heritage Hill Cookies is the result of decades of testing and tweaking family recipes to produce the ultimate in taste and texture (without resorting to harmful chemical "enhancers"); careful market research; and a near-obsession with producing cookies that are beautiful, taste heavenly and are made with only the finest, all-natural ingredients (including organic butter, milk and eggs from animals maintained naturally and humanely).
2. Are you going to offer cookie dough outside of the Colorado Springs area?
We may add cookie dough to our "shipped" product line in the future. If you'd like a quote for placing an order for cookie dough (5.5-lb. tubs shipped in dry ice via Priority Mail) -- or you’d like to be notified when we add it to our product line -- please email us and put "I want cookie dough!" in the subject line.
3. Where are you located?
We don’t have a storefront, but our business is located in Colorado.
4. Do you accept checks and money orders?
Yes, we do. However, you’ll need to mail your check or money order to the following address, accompanied by your printed-out order. You'll be able to do that from the checkout page at: shop.heritagehillcookies.com
Heritage Hill Cookies
Att’n: Orders
6253 Colony Circle
Colorado Springs, CO 80919-2257
Please remember that it takes extra time for the mail and then waiting for your check to clear; so if time is of the essence, you can (1) mail a certified check or U.S. Postal Money Order or (2) call us at 719-660-4142.
5. I want my order to arrive on a specific date. Is that possible?
We can’t guarantee arrival dates—although generally we’ll hit them when using Express Mail and other overnight shipping services. However, you can request a specific shipping date, as long as your paid order is submitted online two (2) business days in advance or arrives in the mail five (5) business days in advance.
6. Why can’t my order be shipped via Parcel Post, First-Class Mail or some other non-expedited means?
We want you -- and your gift recipients -- to enjoy Heritage Hill Cookies at peak freshness, so the speedier the delivery, the better. And the expedited shipping services offer the kind of careful handling that your order deserves.
7. Do you handle corporate and other types of large-scale orders? And how about customization?
Yes, we certainly do. However, if you plan to order more than 10 dozen cookies at one time, please email or call us at least 5 business days in advance. As far as customization, please call or email us with your request. We'll do our best to work with you.
8. I’m ordering cookies for a gift. Is it possible to request a personalized card?
Yes, we’d be more than happy to include a small card personalized with your message. You can make that request (and key in your message) at checkout or include it with your mailed or phoned order. If you wish to have your business or other card enclosed with your order, please email or call us at 719-660-4142 to arrange for that.
